Northeast Georgia Regional Science & Engineering Fair

  • Students in grades 6-12 may qualify to participate in this regional event February 1, 2019 after competing in a school and/or district fair.
  • Training for teachers/local fair coordinators will take place TBD.

Middle School Science Olympiad Invitational

  • Teams of students from grades 6-8 compete at this regional event March 2, 2019.
  • Training for teachers/coaches will take place at schools as needed.

Elementary Science Olympiad Invitational

  • Teams of students from grades 3-5 compete at this regional event March 23, 2019.
  • Training for teachers/coaches will take place at schools as needed.

S(TEAM) Van

Learn to Code with Sphero

  • Students learn basic coding skills using a Sphero robot and smartphones or tablets.
  • Teachers who wish to check out this equipment must attend training sessions offered throughout the school year.

Family STEM Night/Day

  • With over 100 activities (including brand new Engineering and Math activities!) to choose from, your school is sure to have a fantastic Family STEM Night (or Day!).  Schools are provided with step-by-step instructions, all materials, and scientific explanations needed to facilitate the activities.  This is a great way to engage the entire family in learning.

Saturday Science

  • Open to students ages 8-12
  • Attend one or all sessions at $25 each (Dates TBD) from 9:30 am-12:00pm at Northeast Georgia RESA in Winterville.
  • Each session will be highly interactive and engage students in doing real science.

STARLAB

  • Check out one of our portable planetariums for a week to bring into your school.
  • Choose from 15 different cylinders to project inside the dome, covering Science, Social Studies and Language Arts standards at ALL grade levels.
  • Our ideal model is to have the planetarium come to your school once a year, and all students participate.
  • Training for teachers is required, and offered throughout the school year.

AT&T Mobile Technology Lab

  • Check out our 10 digital microscopes and laptops to take a unique look at specimen.  Perfect for looking at microorganisms, sand, and much more.
  • Students can easily collaborate by looking at the laptop screen rather than taking turns looking through the eyepiece.
  • Students can create presentation that incorporate pictures and videos of their specimen.
